Emiri Miyasaka a Japanese model. She will compete in the upcoming Miss Universe 2009 pageant on August 23, 2009 to be held in Nassau, Bahamas. Miyasaka speaks English well, having spent ten months in California attending school. She placed 2nd runner-up at Miss International Japan 2008. Miyasaka beat more than 3,000 applicants for this year’s title of Miss Universe Japan. The judging panel included Miss Universe Japan national director Ines Ligron, singer Shizuka Kudo, Lotte Marines baseball manager Bobby Valentine, Miss Universe 2006 runner-up Kurara Chibana, TV personality Girolamo Panzetta, and DJ & TV host Chris Peppler. Miyasaka received a lot of attention after her win, especially after being invited to the Prime Minister’s office which is an honor reserved to very important people only. Emiri was trained by national pageant director Ines Ligron along with Hiroko Mima, who prepared Emiri Miyasaka for Miss Universe 2009.

Shilpa Shetty is an Indian film actress and model. Among very few actresses, Shilpa Shetty was nominated for her first film Baazigar. The following year she delivered another blockbuster hit Main Khiladi Tu Anari where she starred with Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. However, the proceeding years her movies failed to succeed at the box office though she did receive critical acclaim for some of her performances. After taking part in the British Celebrity Big Brother TV show in 2007, Shetty was crowned the winner with 63% of the final vote, after an international racism controversy involving her and fellow contestants Jade Goody, Jo O’Meara and Danielle Lloyd. This was followed by a re-establishment of her status in the film industry in 2007 when she appeared in two successive movies, Life in a… Metro and Apne, with her performance in the former drawing positive reviews. In February 2009 Shilpa and her business partner Raj Kundra became part owners of the Indian Premier League franchise cricket team Rajasthan Royals (current champions) by paying approximately US $15.4 million for a 11.7% stake.

Agnes Monica Muljoto is an Indonesian pop music singer, dancer and actress. Her album …and the story goes… released in 2003 made her popular as a singer. She is recognized in many Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. She has held concerts in Malaysia and Brunei as well. As a child she became a singer and released three albums called Si Meong, Yess and Bala-bala, and became a presenter in VAN (Video Anak Anteve), Tralala-Trilili in RCTI and Diva Romeo in Trans TV. In 1999 she got an award from Panasonic Awards. In 2004 she played in two series, Bunga Perawan and Cantik. In 2005 she released her second album titled Whaddup A. She collaborated with US singer Keith Martin for the album. In 2006, Agnes was involved in shooting the drama The Hospital in Taiwan, where she acted alongside Jerry Yan, a member of F4.
